About Us

We are proudly affiliated with the Ontario Horticultural Association.

Over the years the Society has had many town beautification projects. These undertakings include:

Town Planters

Each spring, our Society plants a colourful variety of annuals around town and at the Leamington Arts Centre. This planting is done in cooperation with the Municipality and together we add a refreshing dash of colour to our streets.

Town Benches

We have purchased benches that have been installed at various locations around town.

Flower beds at Sun Parlor Home

Each spring we plant annuals in the Talbot Road flower beds in front of the Sun Parlor Home.

Memorial Trees

We plant trees to commemorate our deceased members.

Chess/Checker Tables

The Society's 2009 project was to provide a game table for the Leamington Marina Park (now Rick Atkin Park). This was made possible with the assistance of the Municipality of Leamington, Gabriele's Brandsource and Home Building Centre.

60/90 Anniversary Garden

In 2010, to celebrate the Society's 60th anniversary of incorporation and 90th anniversary of its founding, a beautiful garden at the Frazer Road / Talbot Road and Oak Street triangle was built to greet visitors with the Leamington logo created with flowers.

Student bursary

Each year the Society provides a bursary to a deserving local high school student to further his/her education in horticulture.
