Darren Heimbecker is the owner and creative force behind Whistling Gardens, which opened in 2012. Darren worked as a propagator, shipper and field manager for 18 years before setting out on his own. Darren has a passion for conifers and his gardens reflect it. His garden centre is an invaluable destination for plant collectors.

Canada’s newest botanic garden, Whistling Gardens http://www.whistlinggardens.ca/ has almost 20 acres. They have been cultivated and sculpted into 6 major gardens and collections. All the gardens have been seamlessly connected with wheelchair accessible walking paths. Whistling Gardens is home to the largest public collection of conifers in the world with over 2,500 species, hybrids and cultivars on site. Learn about the making of the gardens and what’s in store for the future.

Participants to bring their own insert with soil and stones, and any special embellishments.
