Delhi & District Hort Society
Delhi & District Horticultural Society was originally founded in 1920 and was re-organized in 1982 after several years of inactivity. The Dogwood is our Society's flower.
Our objectives are to promote the protection of the environment and to encourage an interest in horticulture by promoting youth and community involvement.
Our meetings are held the 2nd Monday June to September and 3rd Monday in October at 7:30 p.m. at the Delhi Friendship Centre, 418 Queen Street. There are no meetings held in July and August. Members of the Society plant the flower beds at the Ontario Tobacco Museum during June.
Our meetings include a brief business meeting, guest speaker, monthly flower & photography competitions followed by refreshments and fellowship.
Our membership fee is $10.00 per person. This membership includes an annual newsletter and 10% off plant sales at several local garden centres.
