Winona Horticultural Society
“The Winona Horticultural Society is a community-based organization dedicated to bringing people closer to their gardens and the land we all share. We are nondenominational and welcome all ages, cultures and experience levels to our meetings, for the purpose of sharing our love of gardening, with all it's challenges and triumphs.
Our meetings take place at 7:30 pm, on the third Wednesday of the month, September through May, in St. John's Anglican Church Hall, 1285 Hwy 8 (at Winona Road), Winona.
Our meetings feature interesting speakers, fellowship and fun. In the month of June we often take a tour of local horticultural attractions, and in August we have a booth at the Winona Peach Festival.
The Winona Horticultural Society has been “growing since 1929” and we hope it will keep growing for many years to come!”

Winona Horticultural Society Meeting Guest Speaker: Susan Gemmill
The Winona Horticultural Society welcomes Susan Gemmill who will give us the scoop on the upcoming OHA Convention being held this year in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Also, someone from a local nursery will introduce new varieties of plants for our summer gardens.
Don't miss the plant exchange at this meeting. Once again it is time to do what gardeners do best: divide and share. It's the perfect time to divide perennials that bloom in mid-summer or later, such as asters, daylilies and sedums. Baby shrubs or ornamental grasses can also be exchanged. We'll swap and trade for the betterment of all our gardens! Please label plants with name/variety, colour (if possible) and any specific growing requirements.
The meeting takes place at 7:30 pm at St. John's Anglican Church Hall, corner of Hwy 8. and Winona Rd. Everyone is welcome.
