About Us

The Westway Horticultural Society is a club of home gardeners founded in 1960. We are part of District 15 of the O.H.A. and draw our membership mainly from the western part of Toronto, i.e., the former boroughs of Etobicoke and York.

Like our fellow societies, we try to provide a friendly, sociable environment where amateur gardeners with a wide range of experience and knowledge can meet, exchange ideas and  hear knowledgeable speakers.  We provide funds and womanpower/manpower to support a couple of public gardens in our community.

Above all, we believe in having fun while sharing our gardening enthusiasms.

We organize car-pooling tours to special gardens, but      always make time for a lunch break.

  • Our December Christmas parties feature music, a gift exchange, refreshments and lots of laughter.

We believe gardens and gardening are great in themselves, but even better when shared with friends.
