Tottenham & District Horticultural Society
We were incorporated September 1974, and will celebrate our 35th Anniversary in 2009. Our Society Flower is the Forget-Me-Not . We are very proud to play a vital role in the Community by planting and maintain many town gardens. We also provide a venue where gardeners of all levels can meet, learn, and enjoy the company of fellow gardeners. A beautiful hanging banner was designed and created by various members and is now proudly displayed at all our general meetings, as well traveling to all regional and provincial O.H.A conventions and seminars, where we are represented as a member of the Ontario Horticultural Association. The history of achievements over those 35 years is quite impressive, due to the work of Society members whose only desire was to make Tottenham a beautiful place to be and to instill some of that pride in our young "blossoming" gardeners.
Gardens presently maintained by the Society are Glimmer Memorial Gardens, Tottenham signs at North & South ends, Tottenham Community Centre, Tottenham Post Office, Tottenham Fire Hall, Royal Canadian Legion & Tottenham Train Station
Where and when we meet...
At the Tottenham Fire Hall
Every third Thursday
January Annual General Meeting,
March-June, September-November( Potluck Dinner)
7:30pm-9:30pm.
There are refreshments and 'social' time at each meeting, interesting speakers and a lucky draw for great prizes at the end of each meeting.
There is a Plant Auction in May, Flower shows, and a member photo exhibit in October.
Come summertime, as a member you will have on opportunity to enjoy some tours and day trips at a very reasonable rates-great fun for all!!!

(no family membership)
You are eligible for discounts at many local and surrounding nurseries. You recieve three newsletters a year (January,April and August) keeping you up to date on what is happening, and at the end of the year you can participate in the Christmas Pot Luck Celebration-good food, good company and entertainment too!
