The Thornhill Hort holds a number of events and activities each year.

2018 Dates and Events include:

Saturday, May 12th - Spring Plant Sale - 9am - 2pm - at the northwest corner parking lot (closer to Bayview & Green Lane) of the Thornhill Community Centre, 7755 Bayview Ave.

Sunday, July 8th - 11 am to 4 pm- Self-guided Garden Tour - Details to follow re gardens we will be visiting and locations to purchase tickets.

Saturday, August 18th - Annual Flower Show at the Shops on Steeles & 404 - 10am - 3pm.

Saturday September 8th - Fall Plant Sale - 9am - 2pm - at the northwest corner parking lot (closer to Bayview & Green Lane) of the Thornhill Community Centre, 7755 Bayview Ave.

Saturday, September 15th - visit us at our booth at the Thornhill Village Festival.

Saturday, November 10th -  3rd Annual "Remembering our Canadian Armed Forces" Poppy Ceremony at the garden bed at the southwest corner of Bayview Ave. and John St. 11 am.

Garden Recognition Programme: "Thornhill's Top 100 Gardens".

Other:

Two $500 Bursaries - to Thornhill students who are pursuing post-secondary studies of horticultural-related topics at an accredited University or College.

Support given to the maintenance and upkeep of the Richard A. Jarrell Memorial Garden at the Thornhill Village Library and the Thornhill United Church (TUC) Community Garden.

Civic Improvement sites - planting and maintenance of several sites including Annswell Park, Bayview/John garden (southwest corner), Percy Bone Parkette (in Thornhill Park), and the Robert West Heritage House.
