About Us

ST. THOMAS AND DISTRICT HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society has the distinction of being the oldest, continous running society in Elgin County. The Ladies Temperance Society held the record until closing a few years back, but since 1870 we have had a horticultural society in St.Thomas and District. Like our banner states "Urbs Bella" we really do have a beautiful city, thanks in part to our active members. We encourage new members to join us, you can be sure of a warm welcome, no experience necessary just a love of gardening and plants.

       You are invited to attend.

The St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society is now a member of the

St. Thomas Chamber of Commerce and will be taking part in the Business Sample Show

at St. Annes' this coming Wednesday, October the 19th. from 4 to 7pm.

It promises to be an informative evening with around 60 local businesses and exhibitors participating.

There will be great door prizes, free samples and gifts of promotional items.

Admission is free to members of the Chamber of Commerce which includes our Society's members.

(You may need to show your St. Thomas Hort. membership card)

The Society's table will be located on the right upper terr, just as you go up the stairs.

Hope to see you there! Stop by the table to say hi.
