About Us

Our society has the distinction of being the oldest, continous running society in Elgin County. The Ladies Temperance Society held the record until closing a few years back, but since 1870 we have had a horticultural society in St.Thomas and District. Like our banner states "Urbs Bella" we really do have a beautiful city, thanks in part to our active members. We encourage new members to join us, you can be sure of a warm welcome, no experience necessary just a love of gardening and plants.

We meet the 4th Wednesday of the month Jan to May then Sept to Nov, at the St.Thomas Community Christian School at 77 Fairview Ave St.Thomas.

In June we stage a flower show, and we host our garden tour.

Members of Elgin County Master Gardeners are on hand to answer any questions you might have.
