Earwig Formulas

1. 1 tbsp. soya sauce + 1 tbsp. vegetable oil + 1 tbsp. molasses.
2. Equal parts vegetable oil and bacon fat.
3. 1/2 inch of beer.
4. 1 tbsp. molasses + 3 tbsp. cornmeal + 1 1/2 cups flour + 1/2 tsp. dry yeast + 1/2 cup water. Let foam up for few hours, then put in cans 1/2 inch deep.
5. Spray: 15 ml liquid dish soap, 15 ml hot pepper sauce, 1 garlic bulb and 1 onion chopped finely. Spray earwigs where you find them hiding.
6. Roll up a newspaper and soak in water. Lay this rolled up newspaper out where earwigs are feeding, in the late evening. Next morning, discard newspaper filled with earwigs, or shake earwigs filled newspaper over large pail that contains solution of vegetable oil and water.
*Use shallow tins as traps. ie: tuna/salmon/ sardine or small cat food tins (2010-04-09) |
