Welcome to the Thunder Bay Horticultural Society
Our 85th Anniversary was celebrated in 2008. We celebrated with a beautiful cake and the start of our newest project, a Pergola and gardens to beautify our home, The Oliver Road Community Centre.
Our new "Oliver Road Dedication Garden" will be a labour of love, and any and all donations are gratefully accepted. If you wish to make a cash donation on behalf of a loved one, Marie Hynna is in charge of this. A special "In Memoriam" book is used to record all donations.

Getting Rid of Soft-bodied Insects

To get rid of aphids/spider mites/mealy bugs:
1 tbsp. canola oil to 1 quart of water, add a few drops of lemon dish soap and shake well. Pour into a spray bottle and spray top and underside of leaves as well as stems of plants.
Shake mixture before each use.
