MeetingsMeetings in 2012 will be held on the second Monday of the month in the downstairs room of the Legion, except for October. The October meeting will be held on the third Monday in the upstairs East Room. No Meetings in July, August and December. Meetings are held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Battlefield Branch 622, 12 King Street East. The Meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. with a social and the Business Meeting starts at 7.30 p.m. followed by a Guest Speaker. Monday, April 9 Join the Stoney Creek Garden Club at its April 9th meeting when speaker Wayne Cardinal will discuss the sharpening and maintenance of garden tools. Wayne is a longtime woodworking enthusiast, wood turner and rose gardener. Wayne has over 30 years of experience with sharpening using various systems and is the primary sharpening demonstrator for Lee Valley Tools. Additionally, at this meeting there will be a Flower Design Competition entitled “Hopping down the Bunny Trail.” Entries in this People’s Choice Contest can include any materials but must have at least a bunny or Easter egg as part of the design. Entrants are encouraged to let their imaginations go wild. The meeting takes place at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 12 King Street East, Stoney Creek (east of Lake Avenue) beginning with a social at 7:00 p.m. Yearly Membership Fees: Adults $15 Family: $20.
