Scarborough Garden and Horticultural Society

Welcome.
The Scarborough Garden & Horticultural Society was formed and registered as The Scarborough Horicultural Society on March 1, 1925 with the mottoes, 'Beautify Scarborough' and 'A Friendly Society'.
In 1995 the Society's current name was adopted to reflect a growing interest in horticulture in the garden.
General Meetings:
In October 2004 the Society changed the time and location of monthly meetings. Formerly at the Cedarbrae Library on the first Monday, the new location and time is:
The Scarborough Village Community Centre at the Northeast corner of Kingston Road and Markham Road on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 7:45 p.m. The doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Garden Cuttings Newsletter - mailed monthly to members in good standing.
Spring and Fall Flower Shows. Members' horticultural and design class entries are judged and shown. Open to the public.
Annual Garden Tour. Tickets are sold for this event. Visit a selection of gardens in a specially selected Scarborough area. Open to the public.
Annual Plant Sale. Members' annual and perennial plants, and garden related crafts are presented for sale. Open to the public.
Annual Pot Luck and Awards Night. Members share good food, entertainment, and acknowledge the recipients of annual awards.
