Welcome!

Welcome to the Greater Toronto Rose & Garden Society
Come Bloom with us
If you wuld like information about growing better roses in the Toronto area, please click on "News and Events".
Our guide for growing roses is there.
Our society is dedicated to promoting the love of growing and enjoying roses.
Our members range from novice gardeners to experienced judges and exhibitors, all of whom are happy to talk about their favorite flower, the rose. With so many roses to choose from, it can be frustrating. Our members will share their knowledge, and help you find the perfect roses for your garden. Come to a meeting and let someone share their "love of roses" with you. We hope you will enjoy our site.
We have a wonderful line up of speakers this year.
Greater Toronto Rose & Garden Society
Welcomes
International Guest Speaker
William Kordes III
from Kordes Roses in Germany.
Wednesday October 15.
The talk starts at 7:30
Kordes Roses, knowing that chemical spraying of roses would soon not be allowed, let their rose fields go unattended for several years, then went in to see what roses could cope with no attention. From there, they have developed hardier lines of roses.
Come and hear what they are working on and what we can expect of roses in the future.
Toronto Botanical Gardens
For the talk only admission is free to members of the Greater Toronto Rose & Garden Society and the TBG. The cost for non-members is only $15.
The Toronto Botanical Gardens is located at the corner of Lawrence Ave. and Leslie Street, in Toronto.
