Port Dover & Woodhouse Horticultural Society
Membership in the Port Dover and Woodhouse Horticultural Society is open to anyone with an interest in gardening, plants and related topics, whether a beginner or an accomplished gardener.
Meetings usually consist of a business segment, a short question and answer period, a floral design and photography competition, followed by a social time.
The society is responsible for planting and maintaining a number of flower beds around Port Dover.
Not sure you want to join? Come to a few meetings and then make your decision. The public is always welcome with no obligation. As a member you have a number of benefits available to you. You have an opportunity to ask questions and receive informed answers from knowledgeable gardeners at regular monthly meetings. You can participate in monthly flower, design and photography competitions. Informative meetings are always a plus with speakers, potluck suppers and bus trip. As well, you receive a subscription to the Society's newsletter, The Dandelion. BIG DEAL: all members receive 10% off at Eisings Garden Centre on regular priced plants, 10% off at South Coast Gardens, 10% off the admission to Whistling Gardens and 10% off plants at Nanticoke Nursery.
