Tuesday, September 14, 2010, forget about hurricanes, forget about snow and make the leap directly to Spring with Carol Onion of Hillside Gardens who will present “Planting Now for Spring Colour.”

Think of the myriad of bulbs, flowering shrubs and trees that can be planted in the Fall and provide you with the earliest spring colour just when you need it after a snowy cold winter. Carol will cover all of these things and more with her presentation.

Carol and her husband Bruce took over the operation of Hillside Gardens in 1987 from Carol’s parents, gradually expanding from greenhouses and nursery to major landscaping projects and contracts. Their location between Wayside Road and Highway 7 is familiar to anyone in this area and from far afield who love flowers and shrubs and maybe require some expert advice.
