It's a new year...
and we are planning for a very good one. Our society has been in a state of flux over the past few years due to unforseen circumstances and our previous executive was challenged to keep our society together while providing regular meetings and viable fundraising opportunities. They all did a wonderful job - thank you so much!
This past November we held our Annual General Meeting and Elections and we are delighted to say that a surprising number of people stepped up and offered their time and energy in order to create a new Executive and Board. We now have the basic structure in place as well as a number of "portfolio" heads and committees.
We are looking forward to building on the success of the past and creating new and meaningful opportunities for the future. One goal is to increase our membership and to provide more horticultural leadership in our community. Another of our goals is to reach out and create mutually beneficial relationships with other groups in our community who also have an interest in creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy, environmentally-friendly spaces, both public and private. Keep checking in and we will let you know how we are progressing.
