Community Garden

This large community garden is located adjacent to the historical John McKenzie House at 34 Parkview Avenue.  The project is funded through the City of Toronto's Clean and Beautiful initiative, which successfully renews public spaces with the participation of the community.

The community garden has been planted and community volunteers will be needed to maintain the beautiful space by volunteering some spare time for the upkeep of the garden.  If you are interested in the project and/or in being a volunteer please check out the website above to obtain additional information.

Parkview Neighbourhood Garden is a neighbourhood market garden, located next to the historic John McKenzie House as 34 Parkview Avenue.  Local volunteers gather to garden, sell produce, and host educational and social events.

2011 North York Garden Club Members

we have TWO winners!!!

We're delighted to announce the winners of our Parkview garden design contest. Gloria Broks and Rocky Mei.
The judges praised the designs for the four seasons appeal and attraction of butterflies and bees.

2010 Update on Parkview Garden

In 2010, the garden will be expanding and will include nut and fruit trees, a children's garden, raised beds for accessible gardening, cut flowers, and berries.  Sales of the organic produce and flowers will take place from June to September.

Volunteers are sought to help in the garden, sell produce, help at the events, and work on the steering committee.
