2012 North York Garden Club Photo Contest
Start taking pictures for our Photo Contest. We have a wide variety of subjects and you have till October to take your pictures. Everyone who enters will be eligible for prizes.
Photo Submission Procedure
1. Number of entries per person - Up to 2 photos per class. Enter any number of classes.
2. Photo Size - standard 4" x 6" or nearest size available.
3. Write entry class and your name on the back of each photo.
4. Bring your photos to our October 22, 2012 meeting.

2. Bridges
3. Gates
4. Beaches
5. Bubbles Photoshop > this photo can be enhanced with any computer program
6. Yearbook Cover
Members will vote for the picture they would like on the 2013 Yearbook.
Photos must be digital for this class and in portrait layout.

A Few Tips from Our Photography Workshop

Background: Clutter has ruined more photos than anything else.
Lead In: Find an area in the garden where you can make a photo that has a lead in that makes your picture more interesting.
Point of View: The world does not exist at eye level. Get down or Up High and experiment with angles to create more effective images.
Capture the Light: Shoot in the shade. Then photograph the same
image using a reflector.
