Nepean Horticultural Society

The Nepean Horticultural Society is in the process of developing a new website! Please check out our efforts at - website completion is targetted for January 2018.

Note: Current calendar events and society information will be posted to the new website. Thanks!

The Nepean Horticultural Society was established in 1957 in the City View area of what was then Nepean Township to encourage interest and improvement in horticulture.

Members now come from all parts of the city but our objectives have remained the same.  Nepean Horticultural Society is one of the twenty-one members of District 2 of the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA).

By our association with the OHA we receive a quarterly newsletter, an awards system and learning opportunities at meetings and conventions.  Through the OHA the Society has opportunities to enter flower, photographic and artistic competitions with other societies.

NHS is incorporated under the Ontario Agricultural and Horticultural Organisations Act and operates with Officers and a Board of Directors.

The potentilla is our floral emblem. Our motto is:  “Where Gardeners Grow”
