January 15, 2010 7:30pm General Meeting - Installation of the executive; Renewal of memberships, Celia Roberts to inspire us with flower / fruit / vegetables arrangements and show us how easy to create an interesting design.

February 19, 2010 7:30pm General Meeting. Join us for a Hot Night in the Tropics! Tony Post of Coles Garden Centre, Grimsby will show us how to use unusual and hardy tropical plants in our gardens. I'm sure his ideas would also be perfect for balcony gardeners. Let's all try our hands at creating a design for our annual Paper Bag Design Contest. Take a plain paper bag and decorate it with a garden theme. Place a small gift item inside. The paper bags will be used for our draws tonight, and they are always amazing.

March 19, 2010 7.30pm General Meeting. Tonight our guest speaker is Simon Taylor, Head Gardener at Dundurn National Historic Site, showing us slides of the beautiful heritage edible and ornamental gardens at Dundurn castle. I had the privilege last fall to tour the gardens and they truly are amazing. We will also be selling flats of pansies tonight, and these are always popular! Be sure to join us because spring is just around the corner.
 
April 16, 2010 7:30pm General Meeting Time to kick the gardening season into high gear!  I hope you planted all those pansies you purchased last month as we have more plants for sale this month. Jake will bring his very healthy geranium plants and offer them for sale.  Rob Howard, garden writer for the Spectator and host of “Room to Grow” on CHML will be our speaker tonight, with a slide show celebrating the many gorgeous gardens featured in the Open Gardens over the years.  This may inspire you to open your garden and will also give you a chance to see some gardens you haven’t been able to get to.  It’s also time to start thinking about May’s Plant Sale, and decide what you are going to donate.

May 7-8, 2010 Annual Plant Sale. Preparation and organization on Friday May 7th between 7 and 9pm. Donations of plants (annuals, perennials, herbs, etc) are greatly appreciated. Actual sale is held Saturday morning. Set up will start at 7:45am and the actual sale begins 9am.
