Markham Garden & Horticultural Society
The Markham Garden and Horticultural Society, growing since 1920, brings fellow gardeners together to provide an opportunity to show flowers, fruit and vegetables grown in our own gardens. We have design classes in the flowers shows for those who like flower arranging. We offer opportunities for gardeners to exchange ideas and techiques. Each month a speaker provides gardening related information.
You do not need to have a garden to be a member but just a love of nature. We have a plant sale early in May and alternate each year between a garden tour and a bus tour.
Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of the month. There are no meetings in January, July or December. Our meeting location is the Markham Village Community Centre, 6041 Highway 7 E., Markham at the SE corner of Hwy 7 and Main St. Refreshments are served at 7.30 pm and the meetings begin at 8.00 pm.
NOTE: May meeting marked *** is not on 4th Monday - due to public holiday conflict.
