Markham Garden & Horticultural Society
The Markham Garden and Horticltural Society, growing since 1920, brings fellow gardeners together to provide an opportunity to show flowers, fruit and vegetables grown in our own gardens. We have design classes in the flowers shows for those who like flower arranging. We offer opportunties for gardeners to exchange ideas and techiques. Each month a speaker provides gardening related information.
You do not need to have a garden to be a member but just a love of nature. We have a plant sale early in May and alternative each year between a garden and a bus tour.
For 2012 our location has been changed to the Centennial Community Centre at 8600 McCowan-north of the Markville Mall. Due to renovations in the room the meetings will be at the Markham Village Arena at the corner of Hwy #7 and Main St. (Hwy #48) in August and September.
