Who we are...

Manotick Horticultural Society was established in 1930 and is one of twenty-one societies that make up District 2. We are a membership of over one hundred and thirty amateur and professional gardeners who share a passion for gardening, an interest in growing plants for the beautification of our community, the preservation of the environment, and education in areas of horticulture to people of all ages. The added bonus is we get to meet many wonderful people who share the same passion.

When we meet...

We meet the 2nd Monday of most months at 7:30 p.m. at the RCMP Camp Hall on Nicholl's Island Road just North of Manotick off River Road. Membership fees are $15.00 for single and $25.00 for a family. Public are welcome with a visitor fee.

What we do...

Several beautification projects in the village of Manotick were undertaken and are maintained by volunteers of the society. These include the beautification of Manotick, the Pioneer Herb Garden at Dickinson House, Veteran's Garden at the Mill, Fragrant Garden at Guide Dog Training School, Manotick Post Office flower beds, Manotick Public Library, the planting of 2000 daffodils involving local scouts and brownies as our Millennium project, plantings and their upkeep in A.Y.
