Kemptville Horticultural Society
The Kemptville Horticultural Society was founded in January of 1899. The Reeve, Mr. Angus Buchanan, was President and Mr. T. K. Allen, Secretary. It functioned for a period of five years then ceased. The Society reorganized in 1920 with Mr. G.A. McCoughey as President and Mr. J.R. Higgins, Secretary. Activities continued for a period of 10 years. Reorganization took place again in 1951 with Dr. Jackson Flay as President.
