March 23 - General Meeting
7:30 pm at Sutherland Hall 30 High Street Huntsville
Speaker Topic -Elements to a Great Garden Design- Kristen Hamilton
Practical tips on how to create beautifully designed gardens. The audience will learn how to lay out plants, how to create focal points and position them in the right spot, how to find view points and where to locate your gardens...and much more.
APRIL
April 27 - General Meeting
7:30 pm at Sutherland Hall 30 High Street Huntsville
Speaker Topic- Corsages, Minis and Bows -Design workshop- Betty Morrison, Jane Ellsworth, Debora Marshall.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of making corsages, miniature designs and bows. Registration recommended

May 14 - Spring Flower Show
Huntsville Place Mall -70 King William Street
8:30 am to 2"30 pm.
Members must place exhibits between 8:30 am and 9:30 am.

May 19 -Garden Design Presentation
With Betty Morrison , Huntsville Horticultural Society
7:00—8:30 -The Art Space
Cost: $15
Let’s look at the basics of garden design! Come and be amazed
at how cleverly Betty leads you, her audience, to identify the
elements of design in your garden and see how the principles of
design can work to change your perception of a garden space.
A slide presentation will summarize the ideas of garden design.
Wear something pink and be prepared to have fun.

May 21 - Plant Sale
8 am to 11 or while supplies last.
Staples Parking Lot - King William Street Huntsville
Anyone bring plants are asked to deliver them between 7:30 am and 8 am on Saturday. Please pot and label the plants with their names. Plants will be sold according to the size of pot they are in. Proceeds help fund the Society's projects around Huntsville. Contact Debora at (705)787-0905 for more information.
May 25 -General Meeting
7:30 pm at Sutherland Hall 30 High Street Huntsville
Speaker Topic -Ornamental Grasses – Anita Jarrett
Anita will be presenting a basic overview of Muskoka hardy ornamental grass varieties - what, why, where and how to grow them in your perennial garden.
May 31 - Downtown Planting.
Everyone is asked to meet at 4 pm in front of the Town Hall to help plant the Downtown.
As usual supper will be provided in the form of a Hot Dog or sausage and pop from the Hot Dog cart.
Also, Don't forget to order you Allium bulbs by May 31. 50 cents from every purchase stays with the Society. Contact Rosemarie Meyer at 789-6442 to place you order.

June 22 - General Meeting

Speaker Topic - Bees. - Mr. Smith
“The Bee Man” will be speaking to us about how all life depends upon the bee and the wonders of honey.
JULY
July 23 - Garden Tour -9 am to 4pm
Maps are on sale at Treasures and Trophies for $5.00. The price includes a $10.00 coupon that can be used at Sandhill Nursary that day.
The tour features 9 gardens this year. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
