In 1869 our society was known as " Horticultural and fruit growers Association"
The name was changed in 1924 to the horticultural society. In 1972 it was changed again to The garden club, and in 1987 it was once again changed to horticultural society in order to be associated with the Ontario Horticultural Association.
Our emblem is the Forget-me-not flower.
