Our annual end-of-the-year get together is always a fun event. There is usually way more food than we can possibly eat. There are good friends. And there is the satisfaction of reviewing the past year of accomplishments, events and gardening activities.
A silent auction gets us started with some early Christmas shopping. The winners of our Societies special awards are announced. The annual photo competition is also on display and the winners revealed.
We have to fit in some business too -- the year's financial statements are reviewed and the election of officers takes place. (2009-10-26) |
