The Carolinian District, also known as District Six, lies at the northern-most reaches of the Carolinian zone, featuring trees, shrubs, and plants unique to that area.
Composed of 21 societies and clubs, the District covers a large geographic area from Acton in the north, Oakville in the east, Port Dover in the south and Paris to the west.
An Executive, consisting of six Assistant District Directors and the District Director, handle administration. The Assistants share the functions of Treasurer, Secretary, Programme development and Communications under the guidance and coordination of the Director.
The annual district dinner was held this year in Simcoe It was a wonderful way to spend an evening, meet old friends and make new. The dinner was spectular with delicious food, great entertainment and many, many door prizes. The volunteers from the Simcoe Horticultural Society are to be congratulated for making all of us feel welcom
