District 2 is composed of the city of Ottawa as well as Renfrew, Lanark and Grenville counties. A warm welcome awaits you from over 2000 members in 20 societies that are active in communities across the region.

 OHA District 2 Photo Competition 2008:

The District 2 competition will take place at the District 2 Annual General Meeting in Kinburn on April 26, 2008.

  • Class 1 - "Seasonal View" (a picture depicting any season)
  • Class 2 - "Welcome and Unwelcome" (sort of that lonely petunia in the onion patch)
  • Class 3 - "Trees of Distinction" (the majesty of woods treasure)
  • Class 4 - "Working in the Yard" (working together)
  • Class 5 - "House Flowers" (flowering house plant Photo taken in your home.)
  • Class 6 - "Country Canada" (landscape depicting old house(s) with trees.)
  • Class 7 - "Sky Images" (with a touch of nature.)
  • Class 8 - "A mirror Image" (reflection on water or ice.)
  • Class 9 - "Follow the Rainbow" (any colourful garden flowers taken in 2007.)
  • Class 10 - "Potted" (any houseplant grown for foliage.  Photo taken in your home.) 

The rules are basic:

  • Color print from film or digital to be  4" x 6"
  • Un matted
  • Write your name and society on the back
  • Only one entry per competitor per class                         

Display and prize giving will be at the District AGM on April 26th.                     
Prizes for each class (if warranted ) 1st: $3.00, 2nd: $2.00, 3rd: $1.00.
