District 19 –Executive

I am very pleased to introduce the Executive for this district. (From left to right)

Winter Garden Activities

Even though the gardens have been put to bed for the winter, there are still plenty of gardening activities that you can do.

Winter is the perfect time to plan your spring garden!!

Here is a list of some winter gardening activities:

·         Redesign an existing garden bed

·         Plan to add a new garden bed

·         Read garden magazines, books and catalogues

·         Order new bulbs that will be delivered in the spring (i.e. dahlias, gladiolus, lilies, etc.)

·         Buy seeds and start your annual plants indoors.

To help you with your plan – or just for fun – you can attend any of the local horticultural society monthly meetings.  Here is a link to all of the societies in District 19

Winter is also the time when many garden shows and seminars are taking place.  Here is a list of some of the shows that are happening in or around District 19.
