2009 Report
· Continue to encourage & support local gardeners by providing our local municipal library with gardening DVDs, magazine subscriptions and books.
· Spend 5 minute at every meeting discussing garden tips - sharing our experience.
· We awarded a bursary to a Blenheim High School graduate who is attending 6uelph University, Ridgetown Campus.
· Continue to offer door prizes at every meeting, with many of the prizes donated by members.
· Blenheim is creating a new community park, which we will support.
· Participated in the Chatham-Kent Home and Garden Show, resulting in many new memberships in the Society.
· Other activities included: a container garden contest, providing flowers for the seniors' fair, a speaker / presenter at each meeting, the annual
· Christmas potluck dinner.
· Support our local Communities In Bloom efforts, which maintains the coveted 5 Blooms status. — Nationally
· Membership was 90.
· One Executive Member attended the District 11 Fall Meeting in Tilbury.
