Pat Bastien has been appointed Secretary to Southwestern District 11 until elections at the AGM in April.
Societies were highly encouraged to submit floral judges’ names to Jennifer Plaus or Pat Bastien.
Societies need to keep Pat Bastien informed of ANY changes to their Executive, as soon as it occurs.
Societies should encourage their members to get involved in the Photography OHA Convention Contest as well as with all other contests available. None were submitted this year from our District.
OHA Insurance dues must be submitted on time.
At the OHA level, that we be recognized as Southwestern District 11.
Informal group discussions took place and as these comments are submitted to Pat Bastien, they will be posted.
The categories were: a) Presidents b) Secretaries 3) Board Members 4) Growing Your Membership.

AGM – April 21, 2012
Please note the NEW Youth Categories!!!
Starting at our Annual General Meeting on April 21, 2012, children and grandchildren of current members of societies within Southwestern District 11 will be able to strut their talents and become a vital part of our Photo Contests. The youth need not be a member of one of our societies but must be a child or grandchild of one of our members.
There are 2 Youth categories as well as the Adult category. To view and print out the Theme/Class, rules and age restrictions of each group and the submission form, please click on the appropriate link below:
Youth: Ages 7 to 11
Youth: Ages 12 to 17
Adults: 18 years old and up
Please encourage the children to get involved in horticulture – they are the future of the Societies of the Ontario Horticultural Association.
