HORTICULTURAL LINKS

Mississauga Master Gardeners

A small group of roughly 22 members who share a common love for all aspects of gardening and a desire to share their knowledge and expertise with the community. Members frequently speak at community events, library meetings, horticulture and gardening shows and are available to do clinics and workshops at garden centres and nurseries in the area.  

Master Gardeners of Ontario

A volunteer organizationcomprised of individuals who are certified horticultural experts providing in depth sustainable gardening information to the general public.

 

The Riverwood Conservancy

A volunteer and member based charity that provides programs and services to the community in nature and environmental education, stewardship of Riverwood, and gardening and horticulture.

 

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC)

A community-based environmental organization, dedicated to protecting, restoring and managing the natural resources of the Credit River Watershed.

 

EcoSource

An Ontario-based innovative environmental education organization serving youth, adults and families.

OneMillionTrees - Mississauga

The One Million Trees Program will help green our city of Mississauga and create a great environmental legacy.

Trees will be planted by City staff, partners and volunteers on public property, as well as by individuals, community groups, students, organizations and businesses throughout Mississauga on private land.

In Mississauga, there are 2.1 million trees on both public and private lands. Let’s add one million more over the next 20 years.
