In 2017, we headed down to Norfolk County to visit South Coast Gardens (on Lake Erie), Whistling Gardens and two private gardens. Lunch was a hot buffet style lunch at Blue Elephant Craft Brew HouseOrganized by Manuela.

Cost: Members: $100 | Non-Members: $110 (all inclusive - lunch, admission to Whistling Gardens, driver gratuity, bottled water and even cookies for the return home).

The 2016 trip to Garden Walk Buffalo, was our second trip there.  We visited many private gardens in The Cottage District (favoured by everyone) and the Elmwood neighbourhoods. Lunch was a hot buffet style lunch at Coles Restaurant.

In 2016, this event fell on our Civic Holiday weekend, so crossing the Peace Bridge took 2 hours longer than expected. In spite of the delay, everyone enjoyed the trip.  Organized by Manuela.

Cost: Members: $90 | Non-Members: $100 (lunch included).

The 2015 trip to the Kitchener-Waterloo area, got us to visit Pfennings Organic Farm, 2 magnificent private gardens, Rockway Gardens and Meadow Acres Garden Centre. They were a wonderful mix of venues and a great hot buffet lunch at Schmidtsville Restaurant.” Organized by Manuela.

Cost: Members: $75 | Non-Members: $85 (lunch included).

The 2014 trip to Garden Walk Buffalo, Buffalo, was history in the making, as it was the club’s first international trip.  We visited many private gardens in The Cottage District and the Allentown neighbourhoods and the Erie Basin University “Test” Gardens. Organized by Manuela.

Cost: Members: $100 | Non-Members: $105 (lunch included).

In 2013, Margaret Ramsay led our club's annual bus tour on eastwards, starting with a private garden in Rosedale in Toronto, then proceeding to Parkwood Estate in Oshawa with lunch in the Tea Garden. After lunch, we headed back west to visit Guildwood Park and Scarborough Bluffs Park.

Cost: Members: $75 | Non-Members: $85 (lunch included).

In 2012, the trip was to the Niagara region, led by Margaret Ramsay. In the morning we visited a private garden near St. Catharines, followed by a gourmet lunch at the Benchmark  Restaurant (the culinary school of Niagara College). The afternoon was spent visiting private gardens of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Garden Tour and the bus tour concluded with a visit to Mori Nurseries.

Cost: $65.00 (lunch included).

In 2011, Margaret Ramsay took us to Whistling Gardens in Brantford. We visited Darren Hei.mbecker’s Botanical Garden which is set to open May 24th 2012.

Darren’s enthusiasm is infectious and we were all excited with his verbal pictures of how it will look by its official opening. Rooms in the garden featured a sunken water area, a Greek amphitheater, an alpine garden, a conifer garden and many more. Korean Firs, Douglas Firs, Twisted pines, and Hinoki cypress make up some of the rarest conifers, most unusual and newest conifers which are part of his collection.

Lunch and two more stops at Dianne Elliot’s alpine garden and Chris Potze’s hosta garden allowed the members to load up on plants for their own backyards!
