         Flower Shows

Purpose:  “To encourage the interest in creating pleasing decorative arrangements and in growing various indoor and outdoor plants and vegetables to exhibit in our Flower Shows.”

Would you like to learn how to create winning and inspirational floral designs each and every month?  Join our club and participate in our monthly judged flower shows.

Cloverleaf is proud to host a flower show at most of its monthly meetings, each time with a different theme for the floral design exhibits, and different classes for the culturals based on the time of year.

A Floral Design can be described as a creation of pleasing decorative arrangement made of fresh and/or dried material, such as flowers, foliages, fruits, and vegetables, and with or without accessories, within a specified space.

A cultural is a cut-specimen grown by the exhibitor, or a potted plant that has been in the possession and care of the exhibitor for at least two months prior to the show.

All members, novice and experienced, are invited and encouraged to participate.  It is a great way to learn from other more experienced participants, and a way to share your talent and love for flowers and plants.  Another way to learn is through our floral arrangement workshops.

You may also volunteer as a Flower Show Clerk to record the judge points, or help set up the monthly shows.  These roles provide an opportunity to learn a lot about why certain plants or designs win prizes.
