The Beach Garden Society was well represented this year at Canada Blooms. Looking around the Garden Hall area at Canada Blooms, one could not help but notice many familiar names on prize winning exhibits. There were fabulous designs and beautiful horticultural specimens entered by Trudy Grantham, Lynda Summerville, Margie Betts, and Ursula Eley.
Michael Erdman created a "surrealist" version of an Artist's Studio for the large society exhibit class. It featured an almost alien looking construction of sinuous tentacles ending in colourful plants, being creatively painted with plant material. Michael won a 2nd place ribbon for this very imaginative design. Congratulations! The photo above shows another of Michael's winning entries at Canada Blooms a few years ago. (2011-10-11) |
