Bolton Mill Park Wetland
by Webmaster

Be sure to visit often to enjoy the changing scenery! In May, Trilliums and marsh marigolds will join thousands of spring peepers in heralding spring.

In June, enjoy the sight of hundreds of Camassia bulbs (Indian hyacinth) and Iris versicolor (Blue Flag Iris) planted by BDHS in 2004.

The photo above was taken during the 2008 'Thank you' event organized by BDHS to recognize the many partners who are working together to enhance this area of natural beauty, including Toronto & Region Conservation Authority, Town of Caledon, Bolton Community Action Site Committee, Humber Valley Heritage Trail Association, Albion Bolton Historical Society and the many members of the Bolton horticultural society who volunteer their time in many ways.

To visit Mill Park, park your car in the village of Bolton on Regional Road 50, north of King Road.  The entrance to Mill Park is just north of the bridge over the Humber River before Warbrick Lane.

The wetland is a 5 minute walk into the park along the pathway. The pathway is part of the Humber Valley Heritage Trail, which offers over 16 kilometers of excellent hiking throughout the Town of Caledon.
