A HISTORY OF KITCHEN GARDENS February 2012 Meeting Report by Brenda Heenan, Chair
Growing your own food has never gone out of fashion, though it may be challenging even for experienced gardeners.
At the general meeting 21 February 2012 guest speaker Lynne Marie Sullivan of the Lake Simcoe South group of Master Gardeners of Ontario talked about the History of Kitchen Gardens. This fascintating talk took us back to the origins of agriculture and traced the major impact of inventions such as the Egyptian invention of implements to provide irrigation.
We look forward to seeing you! (2012-04-17) |
