Twiners, Stickers, Clingers and Hookers

The featured guest speaker at BDHS's April 1, 2009 meeting was Chris Graham, the Director of Horticulture at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington for 27 years and co-author of Shrubs and Vines, part of the American Garden Guides series. 

Chris presented an informative talk about climbing plants for Southern Ontario.

Chris is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges, universities and horticultural societies; has hosted and been a guest on television and radio programmes and regularly contributes articles to gardening publications. 

Currently, Chris is developing Kimberley Cottage Garden in Eugenia, at the top of the beautiful Beaver Valley, a micro -nursery and display garden specializing in unusual shrubs, vines and perennials.

Meetings start at 7:30 p.m. at the Albion Bolton Community Centre, 150 Queens St S. (Regional Road/Highway 50), Bolton, 2nd floor.  Accessible.

Members: Free (yearly membership dues $20.00)

Guests: $3.00
