 St. Brigid's Students Build Beautiful Birdhouses

On a cold January day twelve volunteers joined Ayr Roots to assist eager Grade 5 and 6 students at St. Brigid School to build their own birdhouses. Sounds of hammering echoed in the gym as the houses, donated by Home Depot,were efficiently constructed under the guidance and direction of Jean Rickert, chief builder for the project. The students proudly displayed their finished products in the picture along with their "guides on the side". Many thanks to the volunteers and the staff at St. Brigid for their continued enthusiastic support of the Ayr Roots Programme.(2009-02-08) |
