     WELCOME

      TO THE

  AYR HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

             If you enjoy gardening or simply like talking and listening about plants, flowers and shrubs come and relax at our monthly meetings held in an informal atmosphere at the Ayr Firehall, Scott Street, Ayr .We meet the last Monday of each month (except June, July, August and December).

              Our monthly speakers will share their expertise on such varied  topics as new varieties of natural grasses, how  the Grand River Conservation Authority protects our natural habitat, invasive species and landscaping with shrubs.

               Our members are not a bunch of master gardeners. They simply enjoy an evening with  excellent speakers , usually accompanied by outstanding photographs , but always accompanied with fellowship and refreshments after each presentation.

                So, if you were wondering about how to spruce up a dull corner bed, how to add colour for three seasons, what to do with a tired hosta or even how to split one, come JOIN US. Someone will have an answer for you. Visitors are always welcome.

               Be sure to BOOK mid May for our Annual Flower Show. Members are invited and encouraged to enter one or many of their Spring finest. The show also provides a wonderful opportunity for sharing plants and bulbs in the flower sale.
