January 30th  A representative from The Ontario Gleaners will make a presentation on how its organization uses Ontario surplus crops to help to feed the hungry.

 

February 27th For over fifty years Grobe Nursery and Garden Centre has served the Waterloo region.  Perry Grobe will give us a sneak preview into the newest plant varieties and the latest products.

 

March 26th  Dry Stone is a method of building a structure from stone without mortar. Matthew Ring from Fergus and a member of Dry Stone Walling Association of Canada will give a visual presentation on this ancient building technique.

                                       

April 30th  Anna Peterson from St Mary’s and the President of District 10 will demonstrate and explain some of the basic principles of flower arranging.

 

May 15th Ayr Horticultural Society celebrates its 92nd Flower Show. The speaker for the evening program is Ted Tigchelaar from Ayr Country Gardens. His topic: Design Ideas for the Modern  Garden including the use of Hardscape.                                                                                                                                

 

 

Our meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the last Monday of the month from September to April at the Ayr Fire Hall. Refreshments are served  at 7:15 p.m.
