A Bit About Our Club

Our President for the Year 2011-2012 is Stephen Douglas, Past President Roberta Wilson 1st Vice - President Sonja Oslach, 2nd Vice - President Arthur J. Oslach, Secretary Kate Kent, Alternate Secretary Deb Adley, Treasurer Lesley Malcolm, Membership Cyndi Scott, Newsletter Stephen Douglas, Garden Tour - Kay Haines & Liz Cavanaugh, Directors at Large - Elaine & Ralph Boverhof, Social Convenor Shirley Blackmore, Speaker Convenor - Arthur J. Oslach.
Our society meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the gymnasium of Immanuel Christian School on Caverly Road. Meetings begin at 7:30. Each meeting has a meeting featuring some aspect of gardening for the members. There is usually a time to "Share a Success or Problem". The meetings in September and December include a Flower Show competition. The meeting in December includes a potluck dinner which starts at 6:30 pm.
Members who pay the membership fee of $10.00 receive a quarterly newsletter called "Gardening Matters".
Each May the society holds a plant sale in front of the Public Library as an annual fundraiser. This provides an opportunity for the general public to buy clumps of plants at bargain prices.
