About Us
The Arthur Horticultural Society is a small group of people with the same interests of plants and gardening. We have guest speakers for our Show nights. There is quite a varied range of topics. There is always something interesting for everyone.
After the meeting our Lunch Committee puts on a lovely tea.
We hope that you can come out and join us for Blooming Good Time!
PUBLIC GARDENS AND PLANTINGS
At the moment the Arthur Horticultural Society maintains the MacPherson bed, the McEachern bed, The Cenotaph beds as well as the beds at the Arthur Arena.
We thank our Society members who come out and regularly maintain the beds; But we also have a couple of non-society members who don't want their names mentioned. To them, we say THANK YOU for your continued support. We appreciate YOU< very much.
Our Youth Group also gets in on the act. They plant barrels to brighten up our main street. The barrels las fall looked lovely filled with Mums. In such a beautiful colors. Their community spirit, must be commended. Great work!
SOCIETY EVENTS
Besides our Meeting our group has a Plant Sale/BBQ every May. In November we have a Potluck Supper as an Entree to our Awards and Annual General Meeting. The Youth Club and their families join us on this special occasion. Then we end the year with our Christmas Design Workshop. This event is anticipated by many members and non-members. It is a fun way to get into the Christmas Spirit.
