The Floral Emblem of Arthur - The Aster

The Arthur Horticultural Society has been a chartered Organization with the Ontario Horticultural Society since 1919. We are located north of Fergus and the Junction of Hwy 6 and 9. If you are interested in joining us come to our next meeting and check out what we are all about. We have flower and vegetable shows with interesting guest speakers. There is something for everyone. After our meeting you can join us for tea and something to eat. Our Youth Group decorates planters that are situated on our main street. They do a great job of beautifying our scenic town. We also have volunteers to help us keep up with all of the gardens that we maintain in Arthur.

Plant A Row, Grow A Row
by Arthur Horticultural Society

Marilyn Theurer spoke at the Fall show to the members of the Arthur Horticultural Society regarding a new Government sponsored program for the Food Bank. They are asking that besides canned goods, the public could donate any extra fruits and vegetables in their garden. All produce should be clean and dry in a plastic bag. They are looking for a variety of garden produce, potatoes, onions, carrots, beans and apples for a few examples. The Arthur Food Bank is open Tuesdays 10 am - 12 pm for the public to drop of their produce. If you can't make your own drop off call the Food Bank at 519-848-3
