About Us

Date of Inception:  1982

ARGYLE: Emblem - Poppy

Argyle's members come from GoldenValley, Arnstein, Port Loring and Loring, .... a once active logging community, at the turn of the century.  Our talented gardeners have maintained flower beds and planters throughout the area.

The Society is very visable in this small community by putting its efforts together in beautification programs at public buildings and flower beds in Loring.

Here are some photos from last year, 2011.

A big thank you to Marlene and Celia for sharing their knowledge with us. It was great fun.

Celia gives us a tour of her beautiful gardens
In early May, Celia gave the Argyle Horticultural members tips on planting annuals while viewing her beautiful gardens.

Celia shows us the various perennials in her garden
Work with the landscape you have. These rock walls provide a perfect backdrop. She also recommended putting in stakes or cages in the spring before the plants get too big.

The next project
Celia explains the process of starting a new garden along this rock wall.

Our happy group
After a very informative tour, we stop to take a group photo. Thank you, Celia. We'd love to see your gardens when they are in full bloom!
