| District 2 Director Jeff Blackadar, the Almonte and District Horticultural Society and the Pakenham Horticultural Society extend to you an invitation to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting for District 2 on Saturday April 16th, 2011 in Pakenham.
The meeting will be held at the Stewart Community Centre, 112 MacFarlane Street, Pakenham.
Our theme this year will be Tales of Fate from the Garden Gate, a day of intrigue and hanging out with shady characters.
Act I – A Sinister Plot – Dr. Paul Keddy – ecologist and author of Earth, Water and Fire
Act II – Drama on a Small Scale – a demonstration of container gardening by Joanne Smith from Brantrim Country Garden Centre
Act III - our keynote speaker after a hot lunch will be Michael Runtz speaking on “The Seductive World of Wildflowers”
Please arrive by 9:00 am to register, have a coffee and refreshments, and browse in the vendor marketplace.
During the morning sessions, the District 2 Spring Advisory Council meeting will be held in the nearby St Andrews United Church Hall.
All Society Registrations are due by March 25 and full payment should be included. Late registrations will be considered on individual basis between Mar 25 and Apr 1. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact krichter@igs.net
