Mosquitoe repellant
by AGC-AK

Fed up with those pesky mosquitoes? How about growing some catnip.

Researchers at Iowa State University have re-discovered what some gardeners have known for years.

Mosquitoes positively hate the smell of Catnip.

In fact it is more effective that the commercially available product we all know as DEET or N, N-diethylmeta-toluamide for those of you who like its full title.

Other than the strange effect it has on cats, Catnip has no known adverse effects on gardeners or other members of the community.

I hope you give it a try. Who knows, that mosquito you chase may be the one carrying West Nile..........
